Kinda obscure, but worth looking for if you haven't seen these...

"Smithereens". First film by Susan Seidelman ("Desperately Seeking Susan") with Richard Hell and an excellent soundtrack.

"Starstruck". Fun Australian flick with a good soundtrack- but you won't know any of the songs unless you're from there.

"Times Square" with Tim Curry and Trini Alvarado. A little cheezy sometimes (blame it on Disco dude Robert Stigwood) but I love this movie. Song for song the best '80s soundtrack ever! Just came out on DVD, as did the other two.

There are too many good ones just to choose one is torture:
Here are a few of my favorites:
      Currently......In no particular order.......
      - Ferris Bueller's Day Off
      - The Breakfast Club
      - Sixteen Candles and all the other "Brat Pack" movies
      - Never-ending story
      - Dark Crystal
      - Child's Play
      - Princess Bride
      - Nighmare on Elm Street
      - Stand By me
      - The Lost Boys
      - The Outsiders
OK..........I better stop..........Now I am just getting carried away.....There are just so many great 80's flicks...Movies just are not the same anymore. Who agrees?

The first one that comes to mind is Suburbia, because I completely lived it. I couldn't believe someone made a movie that so closely resembled my life.
